Former Minister of State for Agriculture, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has congratulated the new President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his inauguration as the 16th President and Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces of the federal republic of Nigeria. INDEPENDENT reports.
Lokpobiri in his congratulatory message, described the new President “as a politician of conviction who never wavered in projecting the quality democratic ideals that stood great nations out”.
He further lauded the new President for what he said “was his indispensable role in sustaining our democracy by remaining in the opposition during the most daunting periods”.

He said it was a deserving honour that Mr President would now benefit from his many sacrifices and toils to strengthen Nigeria’s democracy.
Lokpobiri, who once served as a Senator for Bayelsa West, also expressed his optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will bring his rich experience as one of the most longest Nigeria’s politicians to remain relevant in the scheme of things, and leadership finesse, to bear in administering the country.
Describing Tinubu’s inauguration, as president of Nigeria, as a breath of fresh air, the Bayelsa-born APC chieftain said he has no doubt that Tinubu’s impressive knowledge of economy re-engineering, which became conspicuous during his time as Lagos governor, and which contributed immeasurably to placing Lagos state economy at 6th position in entire Africa, will be reintroduced to reinvigorate Nigeria’s economy and place the country on the path of growth and development.
Speaking further, Lokpobiri, also used the opportunity to congratulate the FirstLady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, his former colleague, whom he said possesses great leadership potential and wherewithal to support Mr President to succeed in leading Nigeria to greatness.
