There is this feeling that perhaps, Nigeria may not be good for the better hence, they are flocking to other countries of the world. One wonders why? And l believe there must be reasons why Nigerians are flocking to other countries, and something must be down to stop this Nigeria-abroad drift trend.

Many Nigerians, have had this dream of living the country just because they want to avoid so many challenges the country, Nigeria has brought upon them. There are a good number of reasons why Nigerians are flocking to other counties, and my job in this article is to identify some ways by which Nigerians can be stopped from flocking to other countries of the world.

l have said earlier that, there are many reasons why Nigerians are flocking to other countries, and l have promised to also identify ways of stopping Nigerians from flocking to other countries, and below are some of the 10 ways to stop Nigerians from flocking to other countries.

1. Government Should Create Enabling Environment For Business Growth:

The Nigerian government has statutory responsibility for creating an enabling environment that will guarantees business growth.

Nigerians desire to expand its source of income by engaging in different business adventures. Like skilled workers, Nigerians can actually increase their income, should the government provides enabling environment.

So this is considered one of the ways to stop Nigerians from flocking other countries. You can see why they are flocking to other countries. Nigerians will be willing to remain in their country, should things turn around for the better.

2. Many Career Opportunities Should Be Provided In Nigeria:

Many Nigerians who flocked to other countries are going there for the purpose of advancing their career because if you look everywhere in Nigeria, you will see that, in the country, there are limited career opportunities available for Nigerians.

You cannot expect those Nigerians whose passion is to advance their career to remain in a country, where there are limited opportunities for them in Nigeria. Take, for instance, if these opportunities are provided in Nigeria, Nigerians will be willing to remain in their country and pursue their career in their individual area of endeavour.

3. Government Should Create Job Opportunities:

Lack of job opportunities in Nigeria remained one of the major reasons why Nigerians are flocking to other countries, as the rate of unemployment in the country is increasing on a daily basis. Because to them, in the western world, for example, job opportunities abound, and are available for every qualified person who lives or visit there.

So if job opportunities are created, Nigerians will be willing to remain in their country in order to secure better jobs for themselves.

4. Nigeria’s Education System Should Be Improved:

Awareness should be created that, there are so many opportunities in Nigeria, and that, flocking to other countries is risky. If awareness is created, Nigerians will be willing to remain in their country and avail themselves of the available opportunities.

One major reason Nigerians are flocking to other countries is the security challenges. Nigeria, as a country is prone to security challenges.

On a daily basis, human lives in the country are destroyed, including properties as a result of the insurgency called, the Boko Haram.

The security challenge in the country has brought the country’s economy to her knees, as the investors are being wary of coming in and invest in the country. So if there is security in the country, Nigerians will be willing to remain in their country.
