Osun state’s Iwo – The Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), according to Dr. Mutiu Agboke, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun state, did not enable over-voting during the state’s previous governorship election.Information Guide Nigeria
According to The Punch, the REC disclosed this during a visit to the palace of the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, on Tuesday, January 31.
Agboke was quoted as saying that the Election Petition Tribunal’s decision to overturn the results of the state’s July 16 election revealed how over-voting might occur.

Furthermore, the REC stated that certain politicians may have purposely avoided BVAS during the elections in collusion with INEC staff members.
