How to Transfer Airtime on MTN Using USSD Code

To transfer airtime using USSD code, follow the procedures below:

Go to Phone App on your mobile phone
Dial *600*Recipient’s phone number*Airtime amount*Transfer pin# using your MTN SIM card
For example dial; *600*08102345678*1000*1234#Npower Recruitment
You will receive a notification requesting confirmation of the airtime transfer
Enter “1” to proceed with the airtime transferThings to Buy for Bridal Shower in Nigeria
You will receive a notification confirming the procedure to be successful.

Note: You are expected to reset the MTN default transfer PIN before proceeding with the airtime transfer.

How to Share Airtime on MTN Using Text Message

To transfer airtime using text message, follow the procedures below:

Go to the Messaging App on your phone
Enter the message “Transfer then Recipient’s Phone number then Airtime amount then Transfer PIN
For example type; “Transfer 08102345678 1000 1234
Send the text message to “777”JAMB Result
After sending the message, you will be asked to confirm the transfer
Reply with “YES” to confirm the airtime transfer
You will receive a notification indicating that the transfer was successful.

How to Reset MTN Default Transfer PIN via Text Message

To change your default MTN transfer PIN, follow the procedures below:

Open your messaging app
Enter the message “Default PIN then New PIN then New PIN
For example type; “0000 1234 1234”WAEC Result
Send the message to “777”
A notification will be sent to you, confirming that your transfer PIN has been changed.
