1. Wears: This is very important. You will need to buy a lot of cloths, panties, socks, belts, and shoes and bring them along with you to the university. You will also need heavy cloths like pullover jackets.
2. Text Books and Stationary – there are textbooks related to your courses of study. You will also need pens, rulers, erasers, writing sheets pencil etc.
3. Bedding: make sure you buy bedspreads (at least 2 with pillow cases) and blankets
4. Kitchen wares: You will need to buy plates, spoons, forks, cups, knife, pots and stove or gas cooker. This will really depend if you are living in the hostel or off campus.
5. Beverages and Snacks: You will constantly need some beverages and snacks to use and cool your body
6. Reading table and Chair: You will need a reading table and a good chair. This is where you will read (very important)
7. Storage Locker / War-drop or Storage cart: This is where you will store few things such as cooking utensils, beverages etc. This is also very important.
8. Table fan: You must put fan is your living apartment
9. Reading lambs and Torch light: Reading lamb is useful in night when you are awake to read and do assignments. Torch light is useful when you have the need to go outside in the dark.
10. Book shelf: You will arrange your books in the shelf just like in the library.
11. Toiletries and Disinfectants: You will need soaps, sponge, detergents etc
12. Mosquito net: This is very important to avoid falling sick regularly because of malaria
13. Towel: You will need toilet when taking your bathe
14. Bible or Quran: You have to be religious too
15. Radio: As a student, it’s very vital that you listen to news. Radio is useful for that.
16. Laptop computer: Laptop is good for students. You will use laptops to do assignments and term papers as well as other researches.
17. Buckets and Water containers: You will need buckets to bathe and other containers to store water in your corner.
18. Mobile phone and chargers: You will use it to reach out to your parents or guardians anytime.
19. Mirror: You will use mirror you to see how you look before you go out. You will have to look nice as a university student.

21. Extension socket: This is what you will use to plug and charge your electronics and phones
