Husk is one of the world’s leading rural energy providers. We provide low-cost and reliable power to rural households and businesses, entirely from renewable energy sources. Powering economic possibilities in every village is at the heart of everything we do.
We design, build and operate the lowest cost hybrid (solar and biomass) power plant and distribution network in India and Africa. To date, Husk has provided electricity to over 15,000 homes and business, reducing 95,000 tonnes of CO2. Our aim is to provide 30MW of power to 225,000 customers by 2025, and save 350,000 tonnes of CO2 each year.
We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Site Acquisition Officer – Bauchi
Required Skills & Attributes
- Minimum of a HND.
- 0 – 2 years of experience in a similar role within the power or telecommunications sectors, supporting project development, rural development, stakeholder management, and sales support activities
- Ability to ensure closure for tasks.
- Excellent skills with MS Office.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and other relevant tools
- Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in delivering tasks in a timely and effective manner.
- Excellent communication skills
- Responsive with great time management and organizational skills
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
- Ability to work in rural, and peri-urban locations as required.
Location and Travel:
- This role is based in Bauchi State, Nigeria. Frequent travel Within the State for Site Identification and Scoping activities is required.

3.) Project Manager (Site Augmentation)
Location: Abuja
Required Skills and Attributes
- Relevant Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management; PM certification in PMP or Prince 2 or other – a plus.
- 10 years of experience with the majority of experience as a Project Manager delivering projects within the construction, (rural) infrastructure and power sectors- off grid power experience is a plus.
- COREN certification to practice Engineering, a must. NEMSA certification desired.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant PM tools.
- Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in the production of electrical plans and drawings; a plus.
- Familiarity with renewable energy equipment, overhead distribution materials and specifications.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience with contract documents (drawings, subcontracts, specification sheets and commissioning documents)
- Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail a must
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Fluency in English, both in written and oral communications.
- Intelligence and eagerness to learn and transfer knowledge.
- Passion for organization, details, and precision in all you do.
- Having autonomy to implement your creative solutions – not just coming up with ideas, but possessing the commitment and skill to implement them.
- Flexibility and comfort working in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

4.) Site Acquisition Specialist
Locations: Bauchi, Jigawa, Nasarawa and Plateau
Job Summary
- We are seeking a site Acquisition Specialist to help in the expansion of Husk Minigrids across the nation.
- This individual will source and identify site locations for scoping, and deployment towards the business growth of Minigrids in Nigeria.
- This role is an immediate employment role.
- Terms of employment: Contract (3 months) Renewable based on satisfactory performance.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess relevant Degrees with at least 3 years relevant work experience.
