Sikiru Ajibola, a 36-year-old homosexual suspect, was apprehended by members of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly murdering a five-year-old boy in the Ogijo region of Ogun State by rape.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, released this information in a statement on Saturday.
Oyeyemi stated that the suspect was apprehended after Olorunwa Arogbeja, chairman of the community development organization, filed a report at the Ogijo divisional headquarters.Information Guide Nigeria

The PPRO noted that the CDA chairman revealed that a community member had informed him that the suspect had illicit carnal knowledge of a five-year-old boy, causing the boy’s death.
He said, “Upon the report, the DPO Ogijo division, CSP Enatufe Omoh, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.NYSC portal
“On interrogation, the arrested suspect confessed to being an homosexual and that while he was having sex with the deceased boy, the boy gave up the ghost.JAMB Result
“He confessed further that he quickly dug a shallow grave in a nearby bush, where he hurriedly buried the boy.JAMB portal
“He has also taken policemen to where the deceased was buried.”
The PPRO stated that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, had ordered the case to be transferred immediately to the homicide section of the state Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and vigorous prosecution.
