This is a Step-by-Step Guide on How to Get Nigerian International Passport. Please note that this is a bit different from Nigerian Ecowas Passport. The Nigerian international passport is a passport specifically issued to Nigerian citizens intending to travel out of the country.

Nigeria recently started offering the electronic passport also known as e-Passport and Nigerian passports are classified as either the official passport or the standard passport. While the official passport is limited to certain classes of government officials, the standard passport is for the general Nigerian citizens.

Now let’s get to how one who is intending to travel abroad can get a Nigerian international passport.

Nigerian passports can be obtained either at any immigration office present in your locality and also online through the e-passport portal.

After payment, you are given a validation number. Store the number as you will most likely use it to confirm payment. You can also print a receipt by clicking ‘print receipt’ button

After payment you will be required to use your ‘validation number’

Proceed to the NIS portal for payment confirmation and follow the instructions as appropriately.

On confirmation of payment, proceed to interview with relevant documents.
