Express.co reported that Chelsea already has the player to solve their goalscoring problems, claims former Blues striker Daniel Sturridge. The ex-England international claims Romelu Lukaku could return to the club next season and be the answer up top. Information Guide Nigeria

Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter Milan and has had an injury-hit campaign. The Belgian has scored just six goals in 21 appearances in all competitions during his second spell with the Serie A club.

The forward rejoined Chelsea in the summer of 2021 in a then-club-record deal worth £ 97.5 million. He started strongly with four goals in his first four games.

According to Express.co report, Sturridge, who was a team-mate of Lukaku during his first spell at Chelsea, believes a new manager could reignite the 29-year-old’s career in the Premier League. The pundit claims Lukaku is the type of striker his old club has been missing.
