BMW China has recalled K1600 and K1600 GT Motorcycles manufactured between 28 June 2017 and 19 September 2018 owing to defective shock absorbers.Information Guide Nigeria
This call was sent by the Federal Road Safety Corps to the motoring public, specifically those who are currently operating the BMW motorcycles specified.
According to a memo disseminated by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Company Limited revealed that the withdrawal of motorcycles began on September 7, 2022.

In the statement, the withdrawal was based on the fact that the hinged tie rods on the rear shock absorber did not attain the intended strength and could break over time, posing a safety danger.
By means of this notification, the Acting Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu, cautioned the general public, especially sellers and riders of certain kinds of motorbikes, to cease selling or using the named motorcycles on Nigerian roads in order to prevent any accidents.Jamb Result
