Former vice chancellor of Fountain University in Osogbo, Prof. Hussein Oloyede, has urged Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to think about new tactics and lobbying as substitute forms of negotiation rather than going on strike.Infomation Guide Nigeria
The vice chancellor (VC), who noted that the strike had irreparably damaged the country’s future of education, said lobbying is an effective tool for negotiation.
He indicated that the union should use different tactics rather than going on strike, which was bad for the nation’s educational system.
Since his hiring as a graduate assistant in 1977, Oloyede has been a faculty member at the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Ilorin. He identified four key players in the university system.
He claims that the government, students, professors, and parents are among the stakeholders, and that providing young people in Nigeria with a top-notch university education is what unites them.
But he bemoaned the fact that the administration had continually broken its own promises, preventing the achievement of the goal.Jamb Result

The vice chancellor also gave instructors advice on how to behave admirably in front of their pupils so that they can fulfill the job of mentors.
The don stated that a good instructor or lecturer wouldn’t leave any of his students behind after stating that no two students were alike.
He credited divine favor for his accomplishment and expressed satisfaction that two of his former students, Dr. Folasade Alu–Ayoade and Prof. Adenike Oladiji, had achieved success in their respective fields.
Oloyede was hailed as a community builder and scholar who has oversaw renowned individuals by Prof. Musbau Akanji, a former vice chancellor of the Federal University of Technology in Minna and Al Hikmah University in Ilorin, who also spoke.
Nine university professors and leaders of research institutes were among the mentees he identified.
The current vice chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, was Oloyede’s first graduate student in 1991, according to Akanji.
